What you get, when you get it, what happens if you want changes, and how refunds work.
The short version. You give us photos and memories, we make a personalized digital magazine, you check it first, one round of changes is included, and it stays live for 15 days (longer if you ask). Because it is made just for you, it cannot be returned, but we will always make it right.
One personalized digital page-flip magazine ("the magazine"), written and laid out by us from the photos, answers and song you provide, in the template you choose. It is delivered digitally as a private web link and a QR code. The current launch price is $40 (USD), shown before you pay. Nothing is printed or shipped unless you separately order a printed edition from us.
You answer the questions on the order page, upload 10 to 20 photos, choose or upload a song, and pay through our payment provider. Your order is confirmed when payment succeeds and you receive our confirmation email. If something in your order is unclear (a missing name, a photo that will not work) we will email or message you before we start.
Most magazines are ready within a few hours of a complete order. If yours will take longer, because of order volume or because we are waiting on something from you, we will tell you. If you need the magazine by a specific date, put it in the order notes and we will confirm whether we can meet it before we start.
We send the finished link to you, never to the recipient. One round of changes is included: a list of fixes in one message (a line reworded, a photo swapped, a typo). We turn those around quickly. Larger rewrites or a new set of photos may be quoted as extra work. Once you tell us it is final, or 7 days pass without a reply, the magazine is considered approved.
Your magazine is hosted by us and stays live for 15 days from delivery, included in the price. Ask us before or after that and we will extend it, usually free for a reasonable period and at a small fee for long or permanent hosting. We never take a magazine down early without telling you. If our service closes for any reason we will give every live-magazine customer at least 30 days notice and a downloadable copy.
Your photos and words stay yours. The magazine layouts, templates, code and our written copy are ours. You receive a personal, non-commercial licence to view and share your magazine link with the people you choose, for as long as it is live. You may not resell our magazines or reuse our templates for other products.
Because every magazine is made to order, it cannot be returned. Our refund rules are simple: if you cancel before we have started, you get a full refund. If we have started but not delivered, we refund everything except the work already done, and we will show you what that is. If you are not happy after delivery, use the included round of changes first; if we still cannot make it right, we will refund you. Nothing here removes any refund right you have under local consumer law.
Your uploaded photo and audio files are deleted from our storage 3 days after you approve the magazine, as described in our privacy policy. The finished magazine, which contains your photos, remains at its private link until it is taken down.
We make magazines with care, but we cannot control how the recipient reacts, whether they open the link, or whether a device, browser or network on their side works. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
The magazines on sample.theheartpage.com show our templates and craft. The names and stories in them are fictional and the photos are AI-generated illustrations. Your magazine will look like them in style, and like you in every other way.
